City Hall

Looking through some files this morning, I came across these photos of City Hall that I've taken in the past year or so...

and it occurs to me that City Hall has as many faces and moods as the people who visit it.

I love these shots - you are so right about the different moods and faces. What a beautiful blog you have. My sister lives in Ottawa and is called Susan too!

I love the different shades of blue sky in these photos! I have to say the last one is my favorite...it's a beautiful winter sky!

dear susan..i have just left "just i and myself" blog and read your kind comment to her about the loss of her grey kittie, massey.
it just broke my heart to see what she has gone through and then the way that you lost your sammy...what a cruel world of people there are.
we once had a neighbor who had a wooden box that trapped the out door cats living on our street and he used to drive them out to the country and drop them off and susan the city would just not listen to our complaints.
they said that the trap was legal.
i am glad that we keep our cat inside.
i feel bad about your dog.
sammy must have been a trusting sweet soul to even let that evil woman get a hold of him...

your city hall is very pretty,
our family used to live in uplands air base in ottawa and alas in those days there were no digital cameras that we could take such good pictures as you have here..

i told just me that i was going to not visit any blogs after i wrote to her but i just couldn't help coming here to see you...
now i will close and say good bye for now...from terry in welland, southern ontario..

...I love that second photo of the building glowing in the night.... It looks pretty old. When was it built?

Thanks all for all the great comments! City Hall sits in downtown, and was built in 1878 ..used to be a post office, now city hall, and we're bursting at the seams...but it's a nice old building, lots and lots of history within those walls!
