Shades of White and Grey

In January, in Canada, the days melt into nights melt into days...nothing is black and white and a million shades of grey are revealed.
A monochrome world that slowly shows its colours...

The magic day arrives, when the sun is blinding, the water becomes
ice and men become boys.

Colour me hopeful.
Spring will come.

Love all these photos. The squirrel is just adorable, and that first shot is beautiful. LOTS of snow, wow!

Wow. You've taken a gray light and turned it into a beautiful photograph! Hurray, bravo! Of course, I really love the little squirrel at the end. :)

Love the lone hockey player - all wonderful photos. Yes, spring does eventually come - very eventually.

You have craploads of snow. We've had 4 days of rain and EVERYONE is quite upset. It's an outrage.

We're having snow too. It's amazing how the photos look black and white, even when they are certainly shot in color. I've noticed that snow provides some of the brilliant white brightness that we've been missing from the lack of sun. The house lights up in snowlight!

Love your little squirrel friend.

These are very nice. Even with all of the white and grey, your photos have a lot of warmth. The hockey/skating photo is very cool too!

These photos are incredible, especially the one of the man skating. Would love to have that framed on my wall.
