Planes sure have brought the world closer eh? Canada then Cuba in just a five hour flight. Great images.

Well done. Amazing isn't it that there is so much difference.

The snowy driveway and the delicate trees are much more beautiful, but I must say the warm waters of Cuba are quite appealing.

Both images are delightfully fragile to the eye, Susan. Did you take this transformation yourself?
What is Cuba like?

A great exercise in compare and contrast. Sometimes the world seems to shrink just for us!

That's just freakin' crazy isn't it?

The contrast is startling! When we travel south (to Cuba and other Caribbean places) we start off all bundled up in winter garb, and take a change of clothing for the landing. One by one during the flight, people make their way to the washrooms fully clad going in, and shorts, T's and sandals coming out. Slowly the mood in the aircrafts lightens too as we get closer to our sunny destination. The opposite occurs on the return flights!
As for Cuba, Julie, I think you'd love it. Its a land of startling beauty and contrast..in its people, its architecture and its politics. It's a favourite Cdn destination.

I will add that to my list then. Getting to be a long list. Hope I live into my 90s!!
